🚨 Security Alert: Impersonation Scams (Amazon, Microsoft, Steam)
Lately, we have received an increasing number of reports regarding fraudsters impersonating employees of major tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Steam.
These scammers use fear and urgency to trick you into sharing personal data or granting them remote access to your device.
⚠️ The Golden Rule of Safety
Legitimate companies will NOT contact you unexpectedly.
If you receive an unsolicited phone call, email, or pop-up claiming to be from these companies, it is likely a scam.
Never share your personal data, passwords, or 2FA codes.
Never grant remote access (e.g., via AnyDesk or TeamViewer) to a stranger.
📦 Amazon Impersonation Scams
The Trap: Scammers may call or email you claiming that your Amazon Prime subscription is renewing for a high price, or that a suspicious order (like an expensive iPhone) was placed on your account. They want you to "connect" with them to process a refund.
What to do: Hang up or delete the email. Check your orders directly on the official Amazon app/website, not via links sent to you.
💻 Microsoft Tech Support Scams
The Trap: You may see a pop-up on your computer claiming "Your computer is infected with a virus" or receive a call from "Microsoft Support." They will ask for remote access to your computer to "fix" the issue, during which they will steal your banking information.
What to do: Microsoft never includes phone numbers in error messages. Do not call the number. Shut down your computer if you cannot close the pop-up.

🎮 Steam (Valve) Scams
The Trap: Scammers often contact you claiming they "accidentally reported your account" and that you will be banned unless you contact a specific "Steam Admin" immediately. They may also pressure you into "verifying" your items by sending them to a third party.
What to do: Real Steam employees will never communicate with you via Discord or chat systems to discuss bans or appeals.
🛡️ Stay Vigilant
If you are ever in doubt, hang up the phone or close the chat. Visit the company's official website directly through your browser (do not click provided links) and contact their official support channels to verify the claim.
